PTFE Joint

Ptfe Joint, also known as Ptfe Expansion Joint, is a type of flexible connection used to compensate for thermal expansion, vibration, and misalignment in piping systems. It is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a synthetic fluoropolymer that has excellent chemical resistance, low friction, and high temperature tolerance.
PTFE joints are commonly used in chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and food industries where the transfer of corrosive fluids and gases is required. They are designed to connect two sections of piping while allowing for movement in multiple directions. This movement is achieved through the use of convolutions, or folds, in the PTFE material.
There are several types of PTFE joints available, including single arch, multiple arch, and concentric. Single arch joints have one convolution and are suitable for small amounts of movement and low pressure applications. Multiple arch joints have multiple convolutions and are used for larger amounts of movement and higher pressure applications. Concentric joints have two bellows separated by a pipe section and are used when axial movement is required.
